Polly Marie Rose, age 84, of Carleton, MI went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Arbors At Toledo in Toledo, OH. Polly was born May 12, 1924 in Corbin, KY the daughter of the late William and Rosey (Stewart) Gross. On January 16, 1945 in Williamsburg, KY Polly married her beloved husband Lawrence Rose. The couple moved to Monroe in 1949 from Corbin. Polly was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Monroe. A homemaker, Polly enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, and watching the Detroit Tiger. Most of all Polly enjoyed being with her family. Polly is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years Lawrence, 3 loving children; Richard (Vickie) Rose, Larry (Lori) Rose, and Charlene (Daniel) McLaughlin Jr. all of Monroe, 7 cherished grandsons, whom will be pall bearers; Erin, Eric, Matt and Gregory Rose, Danny III, Michael and Thomas McLaughlin and 3 cherished great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Marvin (Vada) and John (Janice) Gross both of Corbin, KY. In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by 2 children; Kathy and Charlie Rose, 3 sisters; May Baker, Helen Flanary and Roseda Thomas, and 2 brothers; Charlie and Raymond Gross. Visitation will be held at the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, on Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 11 AM - 8 PM where funeral services celebrating Polly's life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Eugene White and the Rev. Randy Pierce pastors of Bible Fellowship Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
