Polly E. Raymer, age 83 of Monroe, passed away Friday evening, January 19, 2024 at Toledo ProMedica Hospital.
Born November 8, 1940 in Middlesboro, KY, Polly was the daughter of the late Fred and Lillie (Duncan) Estes. She married David G. Raymer on October 5, 1957 in Carleton, MI. Together they raised two sons. Sadly, he preceded her in death on January 18, 2021.
As an ordained minister and member of Carleton Church of God, Polly formerly served as a church song leader and counselor. With the help of her husband and some friends, she began a food ministry program from home, cooking, baking, and delivering to people in need. In her personal time, Polly enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, traveling to Florida, and visiting area casinos.
Polly is survived by her two sons, Tony of Luna Pier and David of Monroe; her beloved sister and best friend, Helen Raymer of Monroe; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Polly is preceded in death by a grandson, David Anthony Raymer.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28th at Bacarella Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. Rev. Mark Wellhousen, Pastor of Carleton Church of God will officiate, followed by burial at Monroe Township Cemetery.
