Peter Alexander Pilat, 70 years, of Davenport, Florida, formerly of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in his home.
Born December 12, 1950, Pete was the son of the late Theodore and Mary (Castellese) Pilat. He attended school in Monroe and was a 1968 graduate of Monroe Catholic Central High School. He then went on to serve our country honorably and proudly in the United States Air Force.
On June 1, 1972, Pete married his best friend and the love of his life, the former Mary R. Barath, in Monroe.
While in Monroe Pete worked as the plant manager for Lakeland Industries. Pete was currently employed as head of security for Orange Lake Resort in Florida.
Pete enjoyed playing golf, watching all types of sports, and his coworkers at Orange Lake. Most of all Pete loved time spent with family.
Pete is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary, four loving children: Peter A. Pilat, Jr., Brandy D. (Brody) Davis, Kenneth (Donna) Burk, and Mary Sulfaro, eight cherished grandchildren: Curtis Nagy, Cade Davis, Corey Pilat, Codey Pilat, Justin Pilat, Sabrina Sulfaro, Marissa Sulfaro, and Tiara Sulfaro, a treasured great granddaughter, Taylinn Rose Davis, four brothers; Joseph (Sharon) Pilat, Theodore Pilat, Stanley (Lori) Pilat and Jacob (Shannon) Pilat, and brothers and sisters in laws: Vicky (Melvin) Johnson, Lydia (Mark) Melich, George (Sharon) Barath, and Georgia Barath. Pete was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with Pete's wishes cremation will be held.
