Peter Morgan Beightol 9/20/1948-7/17/2024

Pete lived life. Passionately.
And 'passion' is the perfect word for Pete, because he had so many.
Pete was a passionate adventurer, from rafting the Grand Canyon, kayaking the Clinton River,
motorcycle trips to places like northern Michigan, and North Carolina's Tail of the Dragon, to
cross country camper van adventures with his beloved wife Nita, Pete did it all, passionately.
He was passionate about his profession as well. After attending the University of Michigan, Pete
had a real estate career that spanned a half a century. He not only excelled in business, he
created lasting relationships, turning clients into lifelong friends.
Pete had a deep passion for his community. From the Berkley City Council, to the Green Space
Advisory Board in Rochester Hills, Pete was always involved. He organized backyard campouts,
and movie nights, and Halloween costume contests. He created a team to improve local trails
and parks. Pete was so beloved that the neighborhood kids named him 'Mr. Pete' and nominated
him the unofficial Mayor of Quail Ridge Circle.
Yes, Pete had passions, so many passions: Woodworking, bourbon, pizza making, gardening,
motorcycle repair, The MC5, U of M Football, the Grande Ballroom, home renovations, and on
and on and on...
But of all Pete's passions, family was the most important. He loved his wife Nita with all of his
being. He was a proud father and a doting grandfather. He cherished his annual "cousin" trip.
He loved his family wholeheartedly.
So many adventures, so many projects, so many interests…
So many passions.
Pete Beightol, a truly passionate man, and a life well lived.
