Perry D. Grantham, age 84, of Monroe, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at ProMedica Monroe Hospital.
Perry was born March 6, 1942 in Irwin, North Carolina. He was the son of Haley and Christine (McLamb) Grantham. He married Gina Baker April 19, 1991.
Perry proudly served his country in the US Army in the Vietnam War.
Perry was a carpenter for Local 687, retiring in 2012. He attended Monroe Full Gospel Church.
He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his family always came first and he loved every minute he spent with them and especially loved his role of Papa.
He is survived by his wife Gina; ten children, Perry Grantham, Jr., John Bramon, Clint (Sylvia) Grantham, Gerald (Allison Rupp) Grantham, Cody (Misty) Grantham, Aaron (Robert) Mason, Dillon (Ashley) Grantham, Corey Grantham, Haley (Conner) Greenlee and Nikki (Scottie) Risden; three siblings, Tony Grantham, Jimmy (Susie) Grantham and Diane Smith; thirteen grandchildren, Hunter, Caleb, Keegan, Abigail, Kara, Jase, Therand, Madelie, Aubrey, Lucy, Luke, Hudson and Baby G.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 11 a.m. until services begin at 12:30 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. Deacon Michael Stewart will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe with military honors provided by VFW Post 1138, Monroe.
