Obituary

Pearl R. McBee, age 91, of Monroe, MI went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 9, 2008. Pearl passed away at the Lutheran Home surrounded by her loving family. Pearl was born January 3, 1917 in Claiborne County, TN the daughter of the late David Lee and Sarah Elizabeth (Lambert) Beason. On March 4, 1934 I Tazewell, TN. Pearl married her beloved husband Frank C. McBee. Sadly Frank passed away on January 10, 1997. The couple moved to Monroe in February of 1943 to raise their family. Pearl was a wonderful homemaker. Pearl worked at the Willow Run Bomber Plant during World War II. She also worked in the Bakery at Foodtown until her retirement in 1974. Pearl was a charter member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where she was the Assistant Secretary of the Sunday School Classes, Secretary of the W.M.U., and the Food Committee Chairman. Pearl is survived by her loving children; Frankie Harris of Monroe, and Dick (Linda) McBee of Coldwater, MI, 14 cherished grandchildren, 21 treasured great grandchildren and 5 treasured great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents Pearl was preceded in death by 1 son Charles McBee, 1 daughter Geneva Bazick, 1 son in law Charles Harris and 9 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe. On Monday, October 13, 2008 Pearl will be taken to Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where she will lie in state from 12 noon until funeral services celebrating her life at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Wm. Robert Baltrip pastor of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Due to family allergies the family would ask those coming for visitation, please be so kind and not wear any cologne or perfumes.
