Obituary

Paulette B. Geiermann, age 75 of Newport, died Saturday morning, April 16, 2022.
Born October 3, 1946 in Chicago, IL, Paulette was the daughter of Seymour and Jean (Richman) Rich. She moved to Toledo, OH at the age of 13 and graduated from DeVilbiss High School.
In 1966, Paulette married Sylvan Leizerman. She later married James Geiermann on February 13, 1999. At various times in her life, she was employed in the banking industry and worked for Lucas County Job & Family Services in Toledo. In the 1980's, she held the position of President of Beth Isaac Synagogue in Trenton, MI.
Paulette was a member of Temple B'nai Israel in Monroe and enjoyed baking, spending time with family, and traveling with her husband.
Paulette is survived by her husband Jim; sister, Maxine (Jerry) Rosen; three children, Michael (Rena) Leizerman, Alan (Madeleine) Leizerman, and Lawrence (Tina) Leizerman; nine grandchildren: Kegan, Daniel, Andrea, Sarina, Avery, Haidyn, Zoey, Elodie, and Beatrice; three great-grandchildren: Santana, Kailynn, and Elianna.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Apr. 19th at Bacarella Funeral Home. A procession to St. Charles Cemetery in Newport for burial will follow with graveside service at 11:45 a.m.
Memorial donations are suggested to Temple B'nai Israel, ProMedica Hospice, or St. Charles Rosary Garden.
