Paul R. Wagner, age 82, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Paul was born January 22, 1943 in Monroe, he was the son of Raymond and Lillian (Godfried) Wagner.
He attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and was a 1961 graduate of Monroe High School. He went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Toledo.
Paul proudly served his country in the US Army for 4 years.
He worked at Fermi for many years before his retirement.
Paul was a Christian man who loved the Lord. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church for many years and later he joined Lambertville Community Church.
He and his cousins enjoyed going out to their grandparents' farm where one of their favorite activities was squirrel hunting. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his best friend, Brenda Kiser, and her family. He also enjoyed flower gardening, watching birds and playing cards. Paul was always concerned about others and wanted to make sure they had what they needed, and he would help in any way he could.
He is survived by his Goddaughter, Angela Kiser, the daughter of his heart, her children, Madison, Logan, Carson and Christian; he considered them his grandchildren. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and best friend, Brenda Kiser.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 11 a.m. until funeral services at 2 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd, Monroe. Rev. Roy Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Memorial contributions in Paul's memory are suggested to Humane Society of Monroe County or American Cancer Society.
