Patsy C. England, 76 years, a lifelong resident of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2024 in her home.
Born December 28. 1947 in Monroe, Pat was the daughter of the late Claud P. and Elizabeth (Ray) Lester. Pat was a 1965 graduate of Airport High School.
On September 16, 1967, Pat married the love of her life, Arthur Douglas England at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Sadly, Doug preceded her in death on August 16, 2021 after 53 years of marriage.
In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, Pat worked as a teacher's aide for Jefferson School System for 30 years. She spent most of those years at Jefferson Middle School. She retired in 2005.
Pat was a Charter Member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where she oversaw the nursery program and was an integral part of Vacation Bible School.
Pat enjoyed cooking, gardening, especially tending to her beautiful roses, shopping, traveling and arts and crafts. Most of all Pat treasured time spent with family.
Pat is survived by her two loving sons: Kevin D. (Crystal) England of Newport and Kelly D. England of Broomfield, CO, and two cherished granddaughters: Sydni and Sage.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Lester.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan 48161 beginning at 12:00 noon followed by funeral services celebrating Pat's life that afternoon at 2:00 pm. Rev. William Robert Baltrip will officiate. Private interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
