Patricia Marie Wood, 63 years, of Plymouth, Michigan, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Angela Hospice in Livonia, Michigan.
Born, September 10, 1959 in Monroe, Patty was the daughter of the late Frank and Millie (Pavlovich) Elmer. Patty was a 1977 graduate of Monroe High School and went on to receive her MBA from Central Michigan University in 1996. While in high school she was on the synchronized swimming team for four years and was a four-year member of the Flamingo Club.
In September of 2000, Patty married Bruce E. Armbruster. He preceded her in death. She then married Steve J. Wood on November 16, 2019 in Plymouth, MI.
Patty was employed by DTE Energy for over 40 years. She worked in various capacities for the energy company throughout the years and retired in 2018 as an Outage Manager.
Patty was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Monroe where she was baptized. She enjoyed: swimming, walking 5 to 7 miles every day, traveling, gardening, volunteering for her local community, animals, racquet ball, volleyball, and spending time at her home in Cape Coral, Florida. Most of all Patty enjoyed time spent with family.
Patty is survived by her husband, Steve, her sister Donna L. (Ronald) O'Dell of Monroe, her niece, Mariya R. (Jeff) Gessner of Monroe and their children, Jeffery and Julia.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 beginning at 3:00 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161, where funeral services will held that evening at 6:00 pm. Fr. Rade Obsenica pastor of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church will officiate. Private entombment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Monroe County or to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church.
