Patricia Mary “Patty” Morgan, age 74, of Temperance, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Ebeid Hospice Center, Sylvania.
Born on September 15, 1951, in Monroe, Michigan, Patty was the daughter of Frank J. Vajcner, SR. and Marion F. (VanWashnova) Vajcner. She was a 1969 graduate of Monroe High School. On May 22, 1970, she married James R. Morgan, and they shared 56 years of love, family, and cherished memories.
For many years Patty started her early mornings working at Monroe’s Downtown Big Boy as a waitress, where many regulars frequently came in to see her warm smile and enjoy her friendly conversation.
Throughout her life Patty loved having a garden and enjoyed canning the vegetables she grew. In later years, her love of gardening continued through the many flowers and plants she lovingly cared for inside and outside her home.
Patty was known for her remarkable gift for sewing and was always willing to share her talent with others, whether making something special or helping with a simple alteration. The pieces she created with such care and love will be treasured for years to come.
Above all, Patty treasured the family she and Jim built together with their son, daughter, son-in-law and two beloved granddaughters. She devoted herself completely to the people she loved and always made sure they were cared for, often putting their needs before her own.
Patty is survived by her husband, James; two children, Matthew D. Morgan and Emily (Daniel) Grabowski; two grandchildren, Hailey N. Grabowski and Katey M. Grabowski; six siblings, Betty McLaughlin, James (Faye) Vajcner, Gary (Ping) Vajcner, Diane Vajcner, John (Natasha) Vajcner, and Linda (Larry) Miles.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Frank Jr., Thomas, Robert, and Richard Vajcner.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.
