Patricia Ann Ellison, 85 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in her home.
Born February 19, 1937 in Monroe, Pat was the daughter of the late John and Marie (Navarre) Woods. She attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1955 graduate of Monroe High School.
On April 12, 1957 Pat married her beloved husband, Curtis M. Ellison, in Monroe. Sadly, he preceded her in death on July 8, 2020 after 63 years of marriage.
A devout Christian, Pat was a member of the Gideons International and Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as the church secretary, bookkeeper, and sang in the choir.
Pat was very talented when it came to music. She enjoyed playing the guitar, ukulele, and keyboard. She was even known to compose songs to sing to her great grandchildren. Over the years she enjoyed a variety of different arts and crafts. Most of all Pat was a wonderful homemaker and loved time spent with family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
Pat is survived by four loving children: John (Lori) Ellison of Monroe, Curtis (Colleen) Ellison, Jr. of Scotia, NY, Michael (Laurie) Ellison of Newport, and Theresa (Robert) Barry of Manistee, MI, eight cherished grandchildren, and ten treasured great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother John Woods.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI, 48161 where funeral services celebrating Pat's life will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 12:00 noon. Rev. Matthew Foley, pastor of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate. In keeping with Pat's wishes, cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Gideons International or Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
