Obituary

Patricia A. Blackmore, age 82 of Maybee, MI, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in her home.
Born September 21, 1941 in Monroe, Patricia was the daughter of the late George and Joyce (Poupard) Bruck. She attended St. Joseph Elementary School in Maybee and graduated from St. Mary Academy in 1959.
On October 14, 1961, she married Timothy H. Blackmore at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee and raised three children. She was employed as an Insurance Agent for 31 years by Schafer Insurance Agency in Maybee, retiring in 2007.
Patricia was a member of Divine Grace Parish, Carleton, and its Christian Ladies Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, canning, and baking.
Patricia is survived by her husband Tim; three sons, Eugene (Kim) Blackmore of Maybee, Alan "Louie" (Joanne) Blackmore of Monroe, and John Blackmore of Maybee; five siblings, Joanne (Henry) Salenbien of Dundee, Thomas (Mary Lynn) Bruck of Monroe, Barbara VanWassehnova of Monroe, Kathleen Bressler of Newport, and George (Connie) Bruck, Jr. of Monroe; eight grandchildren: Rachel Blackmore, Richard (Patrick) Blackmore, Amanda (Aaron) Tennyson, Emily (Kim) Maurer, Lauren (Paul) Hernandez, Stephen Blackmore, Brooke Blackmore, and Kathryn Blackmore; two great-grandchildren, James Tennyson and Cole Gilstorff; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Marcia Blackmore, and brothers-in-law, Gary VanWassehnova and Ronald Bressler.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 3rd at Bacarella Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.. Patricia will lie in state at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Divine Grace Parish, Carleton. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Rev. Fr. Kishore Battu, pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church, Monroe, followed by burial at St. Patrick Cemetery.
