Patsy J. "Pat" Lawson, 59 years, of Dundee, MI passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 in her home. Pat had been in poor health for the past 10 years. Pat was born January 7, 1950 in Monroe, MI the daughter of Arthur and Dorsia (Sandefur) Owens. She attended Monroe High School. On November 11, 1967 Pat married the love of her life John L. Lawson Sr. at Evergreen Acres Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe. Pat was a wonderful homemaker and a member of Dundee Baptist Church where she worked in the church library. Pat enjoyed gardening and being outdoors mowing the lawn on her tractor while listening to music. Pat lived her life to the fullest with great tenacity and vigor. Pat is survived by her beloved mother Dorsia Owens of Dundee, her beloved husband John, her loving children; John L. (Stacy) Lawson Jr., of LaSalle, Crystal D. Lawson of Dundee, and James L. (Jennifer) Lawson of LaSalle, 4 cherished grandchildren; Matthew, Garrett, Emma, and Grace, a brother Carl (Linda) Owens of Dundee and a sister Kathleen Smith of Knoxville, TN. Sadly she was preceded in death by her father, a granddaughter Catherine Elizabeth, a brother Hesper Owens and a brother in law Conley Smith. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd in Monroe, where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Wayne Vann pastor of Dundee Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Baptist Church.
