Pamela A. Woodward, age 74 of Monroe, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Born November 21, 1950 in Monroe, Pam was the daughter of the late Earl and Nathalie (St. Aubin) Woodward. She graduated from Jefferson High School where she was voted Most Shy of the Class of 1968 and also excelled in playing the clarinet.
Pam was a kind soul to say the least. As a person of deep faith, she loved people unconditionally, always putting others needs ahead of herself. She was known as the family "peacemaker" and was loved dearly by her twin sister and all of her nieces and nephews. She had a huge soft spot for caring for animals and enjoyed crocheting during peaceful moments.
Early in her working career, Pam was employed as a caregiver at the Carleton Niemann Group Home. She then found employment at McLouth Steel where she worked for 20 years. Afterward, she returned to the Niemann Home to resume her calling as a caregiver.
Pam was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Newport and a life resident of Estral Beach.
Pam is survived by her sister, Gail (James) Kirk, Sr. of Monroe; her beloved nieces and nephews: James Kirk, II, Joy (Dean) Bezeau, Holly (Chris) Musarelli, Megan (William) McKelvey, Jared Angel, Jason Angel, Amber Angel, and Kim (Gary) Bork.
Family and friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16th at Bacarella Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Pam will lie in state at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church, Newport. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Rev. Fr. Henry Rebello followed by burial at St. Charles Cemetery.
Due to Pam's love for animals, her family felt it most appropriate to direct memorial donations to the Humane Society of Monroe County in her name.
