Ollie Carmack, age 96, of Monroe, went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2022 at Fountain View of Monroe.
Ollie was born October 2, 1925 in Wallins Creek, Kentucky to Elmer and Ethel (Peters) Osborne. She married Pat Carmack on December 21, 1944. They moved to Monroe in 1945. Ollie was a homemaker until her husband passed away in 1978, she then went to work as a housekeeper at Mercy Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1994.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ollie is survived by her three children, Kathy Tomaselli, William M. Carmack and Jerry (Peggy) Carmack; her five treasured grandchildren, Tracy Midkiff, Jeffery (Maria) Black, Ryan (Jessica) Tomaselli, Aubrie (Allen) Brooks, Dustin Carmack and many nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Black, infant son, Douglas Carmack; daughter-in0law, Aleta Carmack; siblings, John Osborne, Evelyn Burkhart, Una Brigmon, Virginia Soleau, Chester Osborne and Ernest Osborne and her best friend, Shirley Eby.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Fountain View of Monroe for their loving care and support of Ollie and her family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 2 - 7 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe; funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Pastor Jeff Thomas will officiate.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Oaks of Righteousness Homeless Ministry, Monroe County Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
