Olin Dwayne Breeding, age 86 of Monroe, passed away Friday morning, July 8, 2022 at Wellspring Lutheran Home.
Born May 14, 1936 in Speedwell, TN, Olin was the son of the late Dave and Dalie (Owens) Breeding. He married Annett Gilbert on April 6, 1962 in Monroe.
Olin worked in the paper manufacturing industry most of his life in Monroe. As a pipe fitter, he was employed by River Raisin Paper Company, Union Camp, Monroe Paper, and Jefferson Smurfit Corp. until the plant closed in 1995.
A member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, Olin enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work and gardening, and especially attending any sporting event that included his children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
Olin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Annett Breeding; his children, Rhonda (David) Iocoangeli of Monroe, Randall (Lynn) Breeding of Dundee, James (Sara) Breeding of Toledo, and Tanya Lynch of Monroe; three siblings, Maxine McWilliams of Evensville, TN, Ed Breeding of Las Cruces, NM, and Elzra (Irene) Breeding of Dayton, TN; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Olin was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Lee, Frank, and Charles Breeding; and four sisters, Hazel Lynch, Cleo Kelley, Roma Engle, and Mary Helen McIntosh.
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 13th at Bacarella Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Olin's grandson, Rev. Tim Iocoangeli, pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be privately attended by his family at Roselawn Memorial Park.
