Obituary

Mildred L. Nutt, 76, of Monroe, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at 11:35 AM, Saturday, December 22, 2007 in her home. She had been seriously ill since July 22nd. She was born June 16, 1931 in Newton Falls, OH to Oval Edward and Bernice Mae (Kim) Carder. They came to Monroe to live when she was a child. She had attended Monroe Public Schools, and on November 27, 1948 at the Monroe Alliance Church, she married Raymond Nutt Sr. Sadly, he preceded her in death on November 16, 2000. Mildred was employed as a nurse's aid at Beach Nursing Home for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Monroe Outreach Assembly of God and it's ladies group, at church she taught Sunday school, was head of the youth group, and also worked in the nursery. She was especially proud of her 52 years of marriage, and also enjoyed crocheting, camping, and doing crafts. She leaves to mourn her 3 sons, Raymond Jr. (Karen), Randy M. (Brenda), and Ronald E. (Cathy) Nutt, all of Monroe, 3 daughters, Sandra (Jan) Price of Monroe, Sherry (David) Zapko of Temperance, and Kathy (James) Allred Sr. of Monroe, 2 brothers, Oval Robert (Hilda) Carder of Monroe and George Carder of Dundee, 3 sisters, Martha Knoll of Selmar, CA, Kathleen (Harley) Aichler of LaSalle, and Rosemary (Tony) Hernandez of Monroe, 15 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Her daughter, Mary Ann Segur, great granddaughters, Mahkailan Allred and Alyssa Rose Nelson, and brother, James Carder also preceded her in death. Friends may call at the Bacarella Funeral Home on Wednesday from1 to 6 PM, and Thursday from 1-8 PM, where services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, followed by burial next to her husband at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. The Rev. Curt Faunce of Monroe Outreach Assembly of God will officiate. Memorial gifts in her name may be given to the Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe or her church.
