Michael L. Heller, age 79, of Temperance, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living, Lambertville.

Michael was born February 21, 1947 in Monroe, to Lester and Ruth (Lajiness) Heller.

Michael was a 1965 graduate of Monroe Catholic Central High School. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and his law degree from the University of Toledo.

He practiced law in Monroe for many years with the firm Ready, Heller and Ready, retiring in 2017.

Michael served on the boards of, and volunteered for, Monroe County Mental Health, Community Foundation of Monroe, Bedford Community Foundation and Breaking Barriers Foundation and was a former member of the Monroe Club. He enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his life partner, Tammy Lamb and her son, Craig Lamb; his three daughters, Nicole (Sean) Flynn of Oklahoma, Megan (Kevin) Prater of Waterford and Kelly (Jason) Reinhardt of Monroe; their mother, Kathryn Heller; a sister, Patricia (Thomas) Alward; six grandchildren, Owen, Audrey, Bradon, Alexandra, Cole and Brady.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd, Monroe. The family would love to hear the stories that made Michael special to those who knew him.
