Michael Ronald Beck, Jr, age 31, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 due to injuries sustained during a carjacking.
Michael was born August 20, 1992; he was the son of Michael R. Beck, Sr. and Shannon N. Diggs Russeau.
He was a graduate of Dundee Academy.
Michael had a huge heart and had a passion to help those in need. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and helped with many of their groups including, AA, NA and God Works Family Soup Kitchen Dinners.
He enjoyed watching Netflix and spending time with his large extended family and many friends.
Michael had worked for FireCatt.
Michael is survived by his parents, Shannon (Neil) Russeau of Monroe and Michael R. (Jenni) Beck, Sr. of Monroe; grandparents, Jennifer and Robert J. Beck, Sr. of LaSalle; seven siblings, Anthony Sadjak of Monroe, Teven Diggs of Monroe, Brendan (Mahkenah) Russeau of Monroe, Inea Trejo of Monroe, Ethan Russeau of Monroe, Zander Trejo of Monroe and Soraya Alouini-Beck of Virginia; a niece, Rose and nephew, Koby.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Maggie Ray, Paul Diggs, Donna and Neil Russeau and great grandparents, Ernest and Dovie Ray.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Rev. Heather Boone, pastor of Oaks of Righteousness Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
