Merle Langley, of Selmer, Tennessee formerly of Riverview, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at Jackson-Madison County Hospital, Jackson, TN.
Merle was born September 7, 1939 in Wyandotte, Michigan, he was the son of Merle Lorenzo and Mary A. (Jurczyk) Langley.
He worked for 30 years at McLouth Steel as a steel worker.
Merle loved life and enjoyed living it.
He is survived by his seven children, Mark, Laura, Karen, Kevin, Susan, Brian and Julie; a brother, James Chambers; thirteen grandchildren, Anthony, Christina, Jennifer, Stephanie, Katie, Michael, Corey, Samantha, Ashley, Alexandria, Emily, Jemes, Ariana and Natasha; great grandchildren, Justin, Jessa, Jayson, Miriam, John, Phinehas, Logan, Peter, Adriana, Jaxon and Mila,
Merle is preceded in death by his father Merle Lorenzo Langley; mother, Mary A. Chambers; two sons, Christopher and Craig; a daughter, Janet and two sisters, Joan Mandelka and Connie Moon.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 1 p.m. until funeral services at 2 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161. Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery, Maybee.
