Melissa Renee Rowland, 32 years, of Port Huron, MI, formerly of Newport, MI passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in Port Huron.
Born August 20, 1979 in Wayne, MI Melissa was the daughter of Jerry and Denise B. (Walz) Rowland. She was a graduate of Mount Carmel Institute High School and later attended Kentucky Mountain Bible College both in Jackson, KY.
Melissa was employed as a waitress at the A&W in Port Huron.
Melissa enjoyed reading and studying her bible. Most of all Melissa adored her children. She is survived by her cherished children; Austin J., Avalynne Z. and Abel C., her beloved mother and step father; Denise B. and Brad LeFevre of Newport, MI, 2 brother; Matthew J. Rowland of Frenchtown Township, MI and Jerry J. Rowland of Bellville, MI, 2 sisters; Nancy J. Waggoner of Monroe, TN and Kelly A. Ortiz of New Bedford, MA. Sadly, Melissa was preceded in death by her father.
Cremation has been held. The Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe is assisting her family with funeral arrangements.
