Mary Ann Rauch, age 85 of Monroe, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at Seacrest Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born May 9, 1938 in Kalamazoo, MI, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Grace (Gitchel) Black. She graduated from Ida High School in 1956 and married Robert L. Rauch on March 23, 1957 in Ida. Together they raised four children.
Mary was employed by Mercy and Mercy Memorial Hospitals in Monroe for 34 years before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed playing the piano and accordion, collecting music, polka dancing, and attending military air shows.
Mary is survived by her children, Robert (Denise) Rauch of Erie, MI, Randall (Debra) Rauch of Remsen, NY, Jeffery (Jane) Rauch of Dundee, MI, and Mary (Rudy) Ortiz of Jourdanton, TX; two brothers, Elvin (Janet) Black of Belleville, MI and Glenn (Carla) Black Sr. of South Lyon, MI; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 13th at Bacarella Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Rev. Emily Frank will officiate. Cremation will follow in accordance with her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
