Obituary

Mary C. Kinkade, age 89, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026 in her home surrounded by her family.
Mary was born October 28, 1936 in Phelps, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Kermit and Vicie (Chapman) Charles. She married Clyde Kinkade, Jr., September 3, 1966, sadly he preceded her in death February 20, 2002.
She was a graduate of Phelps High School and attended Moorehead State College.
Mary had worked for Hometown USA, Repo City and was a Tupperware Distributor before her retirement in 2003.
She loved her family and especially the role of grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and canning, watching horse racing, University of Kentucky basketball and the Olympics.
She is survived by three sons, Christopher (Daphne) Kinkade, Charles Kinkade and Carroll "Jerry" (Penny Kilgus) Kinkade; two sisters, Pheobe C. Burchett and Anna Rae (Dan) Hyden and two grandchildren, Wyatt Kinkade and Shelby Kinkade.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Clyde Kinkade III; grandson, Nathan Kilgus and sister, Lena C. Bailey.
Visitation will be held Friday March 13, 2026 from 12 p.m. until funeral services begin at 2 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. Rev. Roy Southerland will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
