Mary T. Bianco, 84 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Medilodge of Monroe.
Mary was born August 18, 1926 in Gary, IN, the daughter of the late Dominic and Teresa (Italia) Albano. Mary moved to Monroe in 1986 to live with her daughter and son in law Josephine and John Frank Shinevarre.
On June 3, 1943 in Gary, IN, Mary married her beloved husband Giacomo "Jack" Bianco. Sadly he preceded her in death in August of 1969.
Mary was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Monroe. A homemaker, Mary was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed shopping and crafts.
Mary is survived by her 2 loving children; Josephine (John Frank) Shinevarre of Monroe, MI, and Teresa Bianco of Spring Hill, TN, 6 cherished grandchildren, 11 treasured great grandchildren and 2 treasured great great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Thomas Albano of Portage, IN and Dominic Albano of Crown Point, IN, 4 sisters; Rosie Stahl of Crown Point, IN, Pauline Shirley of Crown Point, IN, Angie Race of Hobart, IN and Jenny Loyd of Indianapolis, IN. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son Sam Bianco and 2 sisters; Katie Vasile and Antoinette Tribuzio.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-6 PM in the Calumet Park Funeral Home in Merrillville, IN where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery also in Merrillville, IN. The Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Rd, in Monroe is assisting with local funeral arrangements.
