Marvin K. "Bud" Vore, Jr., age 80, of Hollister, FL, formerly of Monroe, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 in Brooksville, FL.
Marv was born June 28, 1942 in Monroe, he was the son of Marvin K. and Alberta (Herman) Vore, Sr. He was married to Monika Weber July 15, 1967, sadly she preceded him in death July 12, 2006.
He attended Monroe High School and was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. He enjoyed street rods, old cars, fishing and hunting.
Marv served in the U.S. Army from 1960 – 1968.
He was a truck driver for more than 40 years, retiring in 2006.
Marv is survived by four children, Marvin K. "Butch" Vore III of Oberlin, OH, Scott A. (Tammy) Vore of Weeki Wachee, FL, Tracey Lynn (Daniel) Wehking of Ridgefield, CT and Marilyn Kurelis of Cincinnati, OH; two brothers, Dennis A. (Debra) Vore and Ronald L. (Denise) Vore both of Monroe; five grandchildren, Christopher Kyle, Madison, Nicholas, Grace Monika and Emmet James and three great grandchildren, Evelyn Marie, Alex Ryan and Addilynn Jane.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Lee Cullen, pastor of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
