Marvin T. Sara, 90, of Pompano Beach, FL, formerly of Monroe, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Born May 12, 1935, in Detroit, MI, Marv was the beloved son of the late Thomas and Rosina (Verran) Sara.
Marv enjoyed a long and distinguished career with Ford Motor Company. After graduating from Monroe High School in 1953, he began his professional journey as an apprentice at the Tool and Die plant in Dearborn, MI. Through hard work and dedication, he rose through the ranks from production work and tool and die maker to leadership roles. He served as assistant manager at the Woodhaven Stamping Plant and the Monroe Stamping Plant, before becoming plant manager at Ford's Maumee, OH facility. He later managed the Dearborn and Walton Hills, OH Stamping Plants, then returning to Maumee. Retiring after 41 years of exemplary service to Ford.
Marv was an active member of the Floral City Model A Club and a devoted NASCAR Racing fan. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including riding his Harley, boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and golfing.
He will be missed by many close friends who were fortunate to know him, as well as his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Sandra.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19th, at Bacarella Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Southerland will officiate the service, followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
