Marvin L. Miller, age 73 of Monroe, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Monroe Springs Rehab and Nursing Center, surrounded by his family.
Marvin was born May 24, 1952 in Monroe, he was the son of Wesley and Anna (Draganic) Miller. He married Jenise Pfund September 18, 1971, they had just celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.
He served his county in the US Army from September 15, 1970 until his honorable discharge September 14, 1971.
Marvin worked for Harry's Cycle, C & B Automotive and at Ford Motor Company Woodhaven Stamping Plant before his retirement in 2011.
Marvin was a 1970 graduate of Monroe High School. He enjoyed restoring old cars, taking his Falcon and Torino to car shows, woodworking and was a jack of all trades. One of his biggest accomplishments was helping his son-in-law, Shane, build his daughter's home where he got to watch his granddaughters grow up. He also enjoyed traveling to Disney World and other countries with his family. He loved his family and the time that he spent with them, especially his granddaughters. He loved to watch his granddaughters play sports and never missed a game.
He is survived by his wife Jenise; daughter, Michelle (Shane) Freeman of Monroe; two granddaughters, Mikayla (Tyler) Shope and McKenna Freeman and great granddaughter, Adley Shope and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Howard Miller and half-brother, Donnie Miller.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Rev Frank Draganic, Marvin's cousin, will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
