Marie Vuich, age 83, a lifelong resident of Monroe, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Born July 30, 1940 in Monroe, Marie was the daughter of the late Mile "Mike" and Milka "Millie" (Krnjaic) Vuich, Sr. She attended Monroe Public Schools and was a 1959 graduate of Monroe High School. On September 9, 1962, Marie married Bogdan Topolski at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Monroe.
Marie attended St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Monroe. She was also a member of the Pensioner's Club at St. Lazarus (Ravanica) Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Detroit. Marie enjoyed tending to her home and yard, spending time with her children and two grand dogs, Chloe and Lily, and traveling to Serbian church services, charitable events and music festivals in the U.S. and Canada.
She is survived by three loving children: Dani Topolski of London, England, Andrea Topolski of Dearborn, MI, and Joseph Topolski of New York, NY.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, a sister, Sophie and four brothers: Dan, Mike, Jr., Pete and Nick.
On Friday, May 10, 2024 she will lie in state at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Monroe, where funeral services celebrating her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Rade Obsenica will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
