Margaret M. Reynolds, 97 years, of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2014 at Mercy Memorial Nursing Care Center in Monroe.
Born August 1, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan, Margaret was the daughter of the late Nathan Earl and Theresa Thelma (Brecker) Williams. Margaret moved to Monroe as a young lady.
On August 1, 1937, Margaret married her beloved husband, Merle D. Reynolds in Monroe. Sadly he preceded her in death in June of 1979 after 41 years of marriage.
Margaret was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Monroe, where she led a Bible study class. She enjoyed playing the mandolin, playing cards with family, cooking, baking and had a special love for animals, especially her cats. Margaret was wonderful homemaker and nothing brought her more joy than time spent with family.
Margaret is survived by five loving children: Richard M. (Edie) Reynolds, of Graham, WA, William E. (Marlene) Reynolds of LaSalle, MI, Robert T. Reynolds of Ogden, UT, Gregory A. (Mary) Reynolds of Monroe, and Sharon M. (Robert) Lusch of Monroe, 26 cherished grand children and many treasured great and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by two sons: Larry E. and Herbert J. Reynolds, a daughter: Connie M. Reynolds, a brother: Herb Williams and a sister: Dora Padgett.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-7 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 South Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, 48161 where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Rex Jones, pastor of Bethany Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
