Margaret Mary "Margie" Campione, age 78, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family.
Margie was born October 4, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York; she was the daughter of Anthony and Margaret (Mulvey) Accurso.
She was a 1961 graduate of St. Euphrasian High School in Brooklyn. She was a home healthcare aid for many years.
Margie moved to Monroe, Michigan in 1991. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed cooking, dancing, playing bingo, gardening, and sharing stories about her young and wild days growing up in New York. Margie also loved to watch movies, was always available to lend an ear and listen without judgement, and would give the shirt off her back if anyone needed it. She was strong, kind and outspoken, and loved talking to everyone. She was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her three children; Arthur Frank Mininni of Monroe, Joseph Mininni of Monroe and Cynthia Jean Mininni of Monroe; a sister, Veronica Accurso Davidson of Brooklyn, NY; seven grandchildren, Vincent (Faith) Mininni, Makenzie (Brandon) Ery, Anthony Mininni, Joseph Mininni, Karley Mininni, Christopher Mininni and Nicholas Mininni, who Margie referred to as her "Honey Bunny"; and five great-grandchildren, Madison Arnold, Morrigan Arnold, Emmet Arnold Mininni, Nash Von Mininni, and Cora Jean Mininni.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and four siblings, Jeannette Accurso Dasaro, Charlotte Accurso, John Accurso and Mary Accurso.
In accordance with Margie's wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Bacarella Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
