M. Damon Robertson, age 43 a life long resident of Monroe, MI passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 in his home. Damon had been in poor health for several years. Damon was born September 13, 1963 the son of Merl and Tina Imogene (Stepp) Robertson. Damon was a graduate of Monroe High School and a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Damon worked with his parents at the Robertson A.F.C. home in Monroe. Damon enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles and motorcycles, yard work, planting flowers, gardening and cooking. Damon is survived by his beloved parents Merl and Tina Imogene Robertson of Monroe, MI, his loving sister Connie S. (James) Florey of Monroe, MI and 3 cherished nephews. Damon was preceded in death by his grandparents. Visitation for Damon will be held on Thursday from 2-9 PM and Friday from 10 AM in the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating his life will be at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Roy Southerland Pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Historic Woodland Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Damon's name may be made to Monroe Missionary Baptist Church.
