Lynnwood F. Koehler. Age 84 of Waterville, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning, June 27, 2021 at Story Point Assisted Living in Waterville. Lynn was previously a resident of Ida, MI and Venice, FL.
Born January 21, 1937 in Toledo, OH, Lynn was the son of the late Ralph and Angela (Corron) Koehler of Erie, MI.
A graduate of Ida High School, Lynn was employed by CSX Railroad as a clerk for 41 years. He married Sondra L. (Traver) Fowler in 1988 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Walbridge, OH. Sadly, she preceded him in death on August 23, 2017.
A devout Catholic, Lynn was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, the Moose Lodge, and Fraternal Order of Elks. He enjoyed playing Euchre, flower gardening, traveling, dining out, and the years he and his wife spent together while residing in Florida.
Lynn is survived by three step-children: John (Kathy) Fowler of Monroe, Anthony (Kathy) Fowler of Brooklyn, MI, and Regina (Robert) Kayser of Perrysburg, OH; two siblings: Shirley Koehler of Ida and James Koehler of Caro, MI; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Lynn was preceded in death by his wife; father, Ralph Koehler; and mother, Angela Kertesz.
Per Lynn's request, cremation will take place with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Erie. A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monroe. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10 a.m. Rev. Fr. Giancarlo Ghezzi will officiate, assisted by Deacon Mike Stewart.
Memorial donations are suggested to St. John Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
