Luigi Scotti, age 88, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026 at Fountain View of Monroe.

Luigi was born September 6, 1938 in Ponza, Italy, he was the son of Francesco and Maria Loretta (Aprea) Scotti. He married Maria Taormina in 1995.

He attended St. Michael the Archangel Church and enjoyed gardening, his electronics and being out on his golfcart.

He worked for many years at Ford Motor Company Woodhaven Plant as a press operator; retiring in 1998.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; two sons, Joseph Scotti and Frank Scotti both of Monroe and two sisters, Maria Dimegilio of Montreal, Canada and Lucrezia Scotti of Rone, Italy.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 10 a.m. until funeral services begin at 12 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. Rev. Marc Gawronski will officiate. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Brownstown.
