Geneva Louise (Nunn) Burton, 69 years, formerly of Monroe, MI went home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 26, 2010. Louise passed away at the Mount Clemens Regional Hospital in Mount Clemens, MI. Louise was born May 9, 1940 in Middlesboro, KY the daughter of the late Homer C. and Mollie Mae (Allen) Nunn. Louise grew up in Monroe and attended Monroe High School. Louise married Leroy Burton. Louise was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and tending to her families every need. While living in Monroe Louise was a member of Monroe Apostolic Church. Louise was a very religious woman who enjoyed attending church. Louise is survived by Leroy Burton, 3 loving sons, Randall W. and Robert E. Burton of Detroit, MI and Edward R. Burton of Clinton Township, MI, 4 cherished grandchildren; Ashley, Kyle, Emily and Kate, 3 stepchildren; Patricia, Deborah and Doris, 5 brothers, David W. (Sandy) Nunn of Jonesville, MI, Roy Nunn of Monroe, Gary L. Nunn of Coldwater Lakes, MI, Ronnie (Cora) Nunn of Novi, MI, Jeff Nunn of Monroe, 5 sisters; Irene Kelley of Monroe, Peggy LeCurgo of Coldwater Lakes, MI, Susie Ward of Williamsburg, KY, Mickey Nunn and Sarah Leach both of Monroe. In addition to her parents Louise was preceded in death by a son Michael Lee Burton and a daughter Amy Burton. Visitation will be held in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201, S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe, on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 11:00 AM until funeral services celebrating her life at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Historic Woodland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Monroe Apostolic Church.
