Obituary

Lou Tisha Westbrook, born and educated in E. Tennessee the daughter of James Floyd and Martha (Mattie Watson) Carey. Married William R. Westbrook, September 29, 1944 in Lansing, MI. He died September 19, 1977. Married Roy E. Hamlin, May 5, 1990 in St. Paul's United Methodist Church. He died August 28, 1995. Served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946, attaining the Rank of T/Sgt. Member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Townsite Garden Club. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Anne (Donald W.) Boyll of Rockwood, MI, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her brother James A. Carey of Sarasota, FL, four step children; Catherine Anderson, John Hamlin, Nancy Slater and Barbara Schultz, 8 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. Lou was preceded in death by her father and mother and two brothers and four sisters. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 1:00 PM in Roselawn Memorial Park. The Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe assisted Lou's family with funeral arrangements.
