Lonnie F. Fisher, age 92, of Monroe, passed away, Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Hampton Manor of Dundee.

Lonnie was born April 21, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Filmore and Hazel (Brow) Fisher. He married Blanche M. Stanley September 8, 1962.

He proudly served his country in the US Army in active-duty December 10, 1956 to December 8, 1958; he continued in the Army Reserves until December 9, 1962.

He worked in skilled trades for Ford Motor Company at the Woodhaven Plant and the Brownstown Plant, retiring in 1999.

Lonnie was a marathon runner, for many years he would run in the Detroit, Chicago and Toledo marathons. He was also able to qualify for and run in the Boston Marathon, which was a highlight of his running career.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Blanche; four children, Jean (Christopher) Pascoe, Anthony (Tera) Fisher, Kurt Fisher and Jill (Robert) Motter; four grandchildren, Meredith Pascoe, Katherine (Ethan) Daughtry, Palmer Fisher and Molly Motter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Colette Fisher, Bonnie O’Dwyer and Dee Swain.

In accordance with Lonnie’s wishes cremation has taken place and private inurnment has taken place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe. Bacarella Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Hampton Manor of Dundee and Compassionate Hospice for the care and support that they provided to Lonnie and his whole family during this difficult time.
