Lisa Marie Hartman, age 55, of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Born May 11, 1970, in Monroe, she was the beloved first-born daughter of Robert W. and Shirley M. (Devos) Arenz. Lisa married her best-friend, Robert A. Hartman II, on May 14, 1994, in Monroe.
Lisa was a proud graduate of Monroe High School, Class of 1988, and went on to pursue her studies in business at Monroe County Community College. She found so much joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was attending country concerts (or just listening to Luke Bryan), wandering through art festivals, or enjoying a day of shopping. She and her husband, Bob, had recently purchased a boat, and she was thrilled at the thought of spending countless hours on the water with Bob. But also lovingly commented, "I would have settled for a golf cart."
But above all, Lisa treasured the time spent with her family. She truly embraced each opportunity to be with those she loved. Lisa always made you feel known by how she consistently remembered even the most minute details of one's life. Her support and encouragement was matchless, as her truly, genuine heart for her family, friends, and kids, was worn on her sleeves. Lisa also had a special place in her heart for her four-legged friend, Maverick, who brought her endless comfort and joy.
Lisa's faith was a pillar of strength throughout her life, providing her with resilience, peace, and guidance. It shaped the way she approached challenges and inspired those who knew her. To know her, was to be loved by her. And this love refused to waiver.
The road Lisa walked was not easy. The storms raged; but she wrestled; she fought; and has now won the crown of life. To many it may seem impossible to have lived a life with joy considering the circumstances. But Lisa not only lived with joy, she brought it to those around her. She embodied the essence of, "With God, all things are possible." "In Jesus Name" she is now with her Savior and has lived a life that has encapsulated this song.
Lisa is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Bob Hartman; her loving mother, Shirley Arenz; her son, Patrick Rose of Monroe, his fiancée Heather Charlesworth and children Ava & Robert; her sister, Amy (Christopher) Zangara of Monroe; as well as many nieces and nephews that she adored and spoiled with love. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert W. Arenz and a son, Robert Hartman III.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Road, Monroe. Lisa will lie in state on Friday, July 18, at 10 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. located at Stewart Road Church of God with a celebration of life led by Pastor Brenda Jackson. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.
