Linda J. Smith, age 79, of Monroe passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Medilodge of Monroe.
Linda was born July 22, 1942, in Highland Park, Michigan, she was the daughter of Henry H. and Mary F. Welch. She married Walter Smith.
Linda worked as a sales associate at K Mart in Westland for many years before her retirement.
Before her illness she had resided at Frenchtown Place.
She is survived by her son, Fred (Carol) Smith of Newport; daughter-in-law, Connie Smith of LaSalle; three grandchildren, Terry, Andrew and Greg (Gillian); three great grandchildren, Luke, Jace and Lincoln and brother, Jeff Green.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Frank Smith.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
In accordance with Linda's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
