Linda D. Gonzalez, age 74, of Monroe passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 in her home under the care of hospice.
Linda was born February 5, 1949 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of James H. and Mary A. (Wagner) Goodin. She married Marcus Gonzalez January 6, 1966 in Detroit, sadly he preceded her in death on June 7, 2007.
Linda worked as a housekeeper at Mercy Memorial Hospital for many years before retiring in 2010.
Linda is survived by her sister, Lisa (David) Hammer of Monroe and her longtime companion, Guy Wright of Monroe.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and son, Matthew M. Gonzalez.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 10 a.m. until a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. Rev. Don Myers, pastor of Kirby Church, will officiate. Private interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
