Linda Sue Essary, age 58 of Monroe, MI passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 2:53 AM in the University of Toledo Medical Center where she had been since June 28. Linda had been in poor health for several years. Linda was born March 5, 1949 in Monroe, MI the daughter of James E. and Floella (Morgan) Essary. Linda was a 1967 graduate of Monroe High School. Linda worked as the Registrar for Monroe High School and was employed by the Monroe Public Schools for 36 years. Linda enjoyed her cats, going to casinos, NASCAR and traveling. Linda is survived by her beloved mother Floella Valentine of Monroe, MI. her Fiancé Mark A. Mabry of Monroe, MI, a brother Anthony John (Carolyn) Valentine of Mt. Clemens, MI, 4 sisters; Mildred "Tony" Knapp of Monroe, MI, Sally E. Essary of Monroe, MI, Nancy Jean (Jerry) King of LaSalle, MI and Tina M. Valentine of Monroe, MI. Sadly Linda was preceded in death by her father James E. Essary, her step father Merle Valentine and 1 brother James Lee Essary. Visitation for Linda will be held Thursday from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Sam Luke pastor of Stewart Road Christian Ministries Center will officiate. Internment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, Monroe County Humane Society or the Kidney Foundation.
