Lillian Uckele, 95 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the Alice Lorraine Care Center in Monroe. Lillian had been a resident of Alice Lorraine since January of 1999.
Lillian was born October 14, 1914 in LaSalle, MI on the family homestead, where she lived until entering the Alice Lorraine Care Center. She was the daughter of the late John H. and Elanora (Reinhardt) Uckele. Lillian attended Wood School in LaSalle and was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Lillian was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing.
Lillian is survived by several cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., in Monroe from 10:00 am until funeral services celebrating her life at 11:00 am. The Rev. James Jacobs, Chaplain at Mercy Memorial Hospital will officiate. Interment will follow at LaSalle Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Monroe County Historical Society.
