Lillian Connor, 84 years, of Monroe, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in her home.
Born November 13, 1928 in Monroe, MI, Lillian was the daughter of the late Leo and Verbyne (Harris) Gose. Lillian along with her family moved to Tennessee when she was a child. She was a graduate of Bell County High School in New Tazewell, TN.
On March 29, 1975 Lillian married her beloved husband Leo R. Connor in Monroe.
Lillian was employed as a seamstress for La Z Boy Chair Company in Monroe for over 20 years, until the plant closed. After her retirement, Lillian and Leo began their own upholstery business in Monroe.
Lillian attended Monroe Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe. Lillian enjoyed crocheting, watching horse races, and playing bingo. More than anything Lillian loved time spent with family.
Lillian is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Leo, four loving children: Micheal R. (Patricia) James, Billy A. (Debbie) James, Kay (Jeff) D'Arpini, and Donna (Neil) Russeau, all of Monroe, 14 cherished grandchildren, 34 treasured great grand children and 3 treasured great great grandchildren, 5 brothers and a sister.
Lillian was preceded in death by her mother and step father: Verbyne and Claude Campbell, her father: Leo Gose, twin daughters: Charlene and Arlene, one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-7 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161, where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate.
