Lila Pauline Sterns, 64 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at 3:00 PM in her home.
Born May13, 1947 in Anaheim, CA Lila was the daughter of the late Leroy James and Mildred (Segur) Arnold. The family moved to Monroe when Lila was a child. Lila married David Paul Sterns Sr. in Monroe.
Lila was employed by Mercy Memorial Hospital for 10 years until her retirement in 2010. A homemaker, Lila enjoyed cooking, crocheting and photography.
More than anything Lila enjoyed caring for her family. She is survived by 3 loving children; David Paul (Vicky) Sterns Jr. of Bedford, MI, Danielle R. (Craig) Adamski of Atlanta, GA and Russell J. (Lori) Sterns of Monroe, 7 cherished grandchildren; Kira, Kate, Kelcey, Jenna, Cheyanne, Lukis, and Maggie, 3 sisters; Carol Fairchild of Monroe, Sandra K. Arnold of Monroe and Connie (Michael) Johnson of Petersburg, MI and her beloved dog Charlie. In addition her parents Lila was preceded in death by a brother James "Whiskey Jim" Arnold.
The family will greet friends on Friday, June 10, 2011 from 2-5 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe, 734-241-4600.
In accordance with Lila's wishes cremation will be held.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lila's family.
