Larry R. Owens Sr., age 55, of Monroe, MI went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Monroe. Larry was born December 2, 1952 in Monroe, MI the son of James H. and Bobbie Ruth (Manis) Owens Sr.. Larry attended Monroe Public Schools Larry married the former Nanna J. Coyne in Monroe, MI. Larry worked as a Millwright for The Carpenters and Millwrights Union in Monroe. He was also a certified mechanic. Larry's hobbies included flying remote control airplanes, attending and participating in the Monroe County Fair Demolition Derby, woodworking and working on automobiles. Larry is survived by his beloved mother Bobbie Ruth Owens Tays of Monroe, his grandmother M. Onlee Neice of Monroe, his loving children; Kevin Owens of Woodhaven, MI, Larry R, Owens Jr. of Monroe, Gary L. Owens of Maybee, Andrea M. (Jason) Heinzerling of Monroe and Amanda J. Owens of Maybee. 8 grandchildren, 2 brothers; Richard D. Owens of Monroe, and Randall L. Owens of Maybee. Sadly he was preceded in death by his father and 2 brothers; James H. Owens Jr. and Gary L. Owens. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 1-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home where funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 1:00 PM. The Rev.
