Kimberly Sue Oetting, age 61, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Ebeid Hospice Center, Sylvania.
Kimberly was born December 7, 1962 in Monroe, she was the daughter of George H. and Julia E. (Smith) Oetting.
She was a 1981 graduate of Jefferson High School and earned her bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering from Eastern Michigan University.
Kim put her college education to good use working for GM and Honeywell, she then switched careers and worked as a loan negotiator for Freedom Financial and ClearOne Advantage. She had currently been working as a support coordinator for ProMedica Rehabilitation.
She was an avid baker, enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Kim is survived by her son Joseph H. "Joey" Komer III of Monroe, three siblings, Nancy (Thomas) Pirritano of Ellicott City, MD, Wayne (Debra) Oetting of Athens, TN and Michael (Sandra) Oetting of Monroe and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Oetting.
A memorial visitation will be held on Dec. 14, 2024 from 11 a.m. until memorial services begin at 1 p.m. at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe. Revs. Kim and Cindy Semran, pastors of First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Memorial contributions in Kim's honor may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
