Kenneth Todd Shopshire, 63 years, a resident of Monroe, Michigan, passed away in his home on March 4, 2024.
He was born in Monroe, Michigan on July 21, 1960 to Kenneth Joe Shopshire and Shirley Ann Shopshire (nee' Armitage).
Todd first attended Boyd School in Monroe before transferring to Custer Elementary. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1978.
Todd was employed at Meijer for several years in different positions, including management and maintenance. He also served as a security guard in several different manufacturing settings.
Todd's love of hockey started in his elementary years and continued throughout his life. He was a season ticket holder to the Toledo Walley, periodically traveling to out – of – town games with his son. The Detroit Red Wings were his favorite team with Gordie Howe being his life-long hero. Many years ago, he actually had the opportunity of meeting Gordie Howe when Howe came in to the Meijer that Todd was working at in Toledo, OH.
Todd was proceeded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his son, Joshua Wayne Shopshire (Stacey Watkins) of Toledo, OH, and a sister, Brenda Shopshire (Del) of Dundee, MI
In accordance with Todd's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Burial was held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
