Keith A. Hamet, age 69, of LaSalle, passed away Wednesday April 6, 2022 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Keith was born May 6, 1952 in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was the son of Richard and Carmen R. (Cura) Hamet.
He worked for General Motors at the Hydro-Matic Plant in Toledo as an assembler until he retired August 1, 2009.
He is survived by two daughters, Sarah (Ryan) Williams and Lindsey (Jesse) Steele both of Monroe; five grandchildren, Damen, Xadrian, Emberlyn, Alexandria and Mason; and youngest brother, Anthony Hamet of Belleville.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom Hamet.
Keith was passionate about golf and listening to music (turned all the way up), and enjoyed watching sports. Nothing made him more proud than being a dad and when he was given the title of Gramps.
He was known for his sense of humor and making people laugh. Whether he was in your foursome or not, everyone knew when Keith was on the golf course (especially when he missed a putt).
He has gone on to a place where NOBODY is taller than him and every third shot is a "gimme". His 7' tall voice will never be forgotten.
In accordance with Keith's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services planned.
