Kayla Ann "Kay" Friederichs of Monroe, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 in her home.
Born in Temperance, MI, Kay was the daughter of the late Ray and Erna (Libke) Hoover. She graduated from Bedford High School and worked for many years as an Admissions Clerk at Mercy Memorial Hospital.
On December 19, 1959, Kay married Jonay P. Friederichs at St. John Catholic Church in Monroe and together they raised two daughters. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2016.
Kay was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and its Ladies Society, and a 20-year volunteer at Mercy Memorial Hospital/ProMedica. She loved baking and sharing her goodies with others, especially at Christmas time.
Kay is survived by her daughters, Pamalyn Peterson of Monroe and Monique (Timothy) Russette of Westland, MI; granddaughter, Kristi (Titus) Murrell of Lansing; and two great-grandchildren, Titus and Tzatzi Murrell.
All are welcome to visit from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31st at Grace Lutheran Church where services will begin at 11 a.m. The church Pastor, Rev. Mark Witte will officiate followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations are suggested to the church. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Right At Home Caregivers and the staff of Arbor Hospice for the wonderful care given to Kay.
