Kay I. Kropaczewski, age 79, of Monroe, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.
Kay was born July 6, 1942, in Toledo, she was the daughter of John Thomas and Marion Irene (Kuch) Nodine. She was a 1960 graduate of Monroe High School.
She was a crossing guard for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed playing bunco, going to the casino, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Kay is survived by her four children, James (Evelyn) Kropaczewski of Monroe, Robin Kropaczewski of Monroe, Thomas Kropaczewski of Monroe and Debra Treadway – Raker of Lambertville; her bonus daughter, Laura (David) Brayman of Monroe; a brother, Paul Frank of Waterville, OH; fourteen grandchildren, Amber (Jose), Melissa (Jeff), James III, John (Samaria), Michael (Stephanie), Samantha (Corey), Erica (C.J.), Paige (Scott), Lindsey (Derrik), Darren, Jacob (McKenzie), Maggie, Larry and Andy (Christie) and thirty five greatgrandchildren. Two nephews, David (Patti) and Mark (Irene) Watson. Best Friend of 50 years Peggy Sweat.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and stepfather (Elmer Frank), a sister, Pat Watson and son in law, John Raker.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Bacarella Funeral Home 1201 S. Telegraph Rd, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
